A Prayer for the Church

O great Creator and Sustainer,
You grace us with our being and these gifts of
Consciousness, sight, hearing, touch, and speech.

You grace your people with your presence,
Entering into our lives of time and space,
Permitting us to grasp at the awe-inspiring truth:
We are created in your image and likeness.

We ask that your church,
Your people, turn to you,
O Light of the world, and
Become the instrument
Of your revelation in our lives.
