BOLNER,    KELSIE A.
Memorial services for Kelsie A. Bolner, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath. The Rev. Wayne Duet and Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate at the services. Born on Feb. 5, 1914, Kelsie A. "Red" Bolner died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. He was a na-tive of Bodoc, Avoyelles Parish, and a resident of Erath for 67 years. He was owner and operator of Bolner’s Grocery Store for 50 years. He was one of the founding members of Affiliated Foods, now Fleming Foods in Broussard. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, a charter member of Erath Lions Club, first grand knight elected for Knights of Columbus Council No. 3872 in Erath and a member of the original Erath Fourth of July As-sociation. He was a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. At his request, his body was donated to science. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Chaisson Bolner; three daughters and their husbands, Dolores B. Dubois and Richard C. Dubois Sr. of Erath, Catherine B. Richardson and Perry Richardson of Lafayette and Susan B. Seifert and Miles Seifert of Baton Rouge; a son, Mark A. Bolner of Erath and his companion, Karen Williams of Lafayette; a sister, Verdie Haydell of Franklin; two brothers, Ollie Bolner of Nederland, Texas, and James Bolner of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren, Renee D. McDermott, Ann D. Burch, Yvette D. Hebert, Camille M. Dubois, Richard C. Dubois Jr., Sheila S. Castette, Lindsey Seifert, Carl Seifert and Kristen N. Touchet; nine great-grandchildren, Lauryn and James McDermott, Matthew, Christina and Rachel Burch, Nicole and Andrea Prejean, Kristen Hebert and Sydney Dubois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Almeda Firmin Bolner; brothers, Dale Bolner, Henry Bolner, Richard Bolner and Daniel Bolner; and a sister, Zulie Bolner Luke. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mr. Bolner’s name and sent to the Foundation for the LSU Health Sciences Center at The Foundation, 1600 Canal St., Suite 1010, New Orleans, LA 70112, for medical research.
