An Unanticipated, Unjust Death

Crack went the metal holding
The trailer to the truck.
Death went the trailer crossing
The median in the dark.

Crush went the beam crushing
The soft breast.
Death went the vision binding
All of us.

Death is not funny. So final.
So full of blood in the mouth.
So ugly and unfair. A real bully.
The worse. So unwanted.

So unwelcome here in life, so livid
With hate of all life. A curse
Be upon all those who would
Practice death.
