A neighbor flies a flag.

I think it is a Confederate flag, and

A Confederate navy flag at that. 

What curious exegesis would yield

And interview with this neighbor.

Is he a veteran of a some naval war?

Is he attached by blood or study or taste to the cause

Of the Confederate navy, or

Is it that he is pleased in his own private way

By the signet and sound of the flapping of the flag

In the wind of early March?
