A Summer Day

Much to do:

Phone and visit a friend, run errands,

Clean the icebox, photograph robins at the park,

Photograph ginger blooms at the museum.

Much to do.

The sun is shining, excuses are vanishing,

Time to get going.

I plan to do my phoning, visiting, errands, photography,

And then come back here and rejoice

In the work I have done.
