Tinnitus

Tinnitus rings and rings,

My companion, my ever-present noise,

Constant presence, ringing, ringing,

Not raisint its level, not protesting,

Constant presence, constant.

Tinnitus, constant ringing,

Ringing while I isten,

While I listen tomyself,

For it is part of me,

Companion, ever-present noise.

When the ringing stops,

When the ever-present noise quits,

I will know that it is time.
