Living in Advent

It’s all an Advent,

It’s all a preparation, a time of waiting.

All life is like that.

We are engaged in preparing and waiting.

Prepare and wait.

Prepare and wait.

Think of it.

Has it ever been any different?

The merchants along the Silk Road

Prepared and waited.

The ancestors prepared and waited

As they advanced toward the shore,

Toward the mountains,

Toward the other shore. 

We are getting ready (preparing) and

We are anticipating (waiting)

For the answer, for the Savior,

For the celebration, for the sign,

For Resolution, for Redemption.

It’s all an Advent.

Prepare and wait.
