Catholic Perspectives on Current Public Issues - The seminar will consist of six two-hour sessions on consecutive Monday mornings. The topics of the sessions will be as follows: 1) The War in Iraq; 2) Immigration Reform; 3) Health Care and Social Security Reform; 4) Education Policies; 5) Taxation Policies; 6) Supreme Court Appointments.  Resources will be relevant public documents, contemporary and historical church documents and materials, pronouncements of the U.S. Conference of Bishops, and papal statements.  Seminar leaders will be retired professors Jim Bolner, Sr., and Greg Hussey.  Dates: September 12, 19, and 26, and October 3, 10, and 17. All sessions will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the St. Aloysius Library.
