Prayer for Humility and Enlightenment   O great creator and deep sustainer of all that is, We, your beautiful and complex people, gather before you. Our wills are weak and our intellects are faint. Your creation, rich with star and flower, Awes us with color, song, and flavor. And inspires us to proceed.   As we begin our journey toward you, We ask that our journey be a prayer. You have gifted us with deep curiosity. You have made it our nature to seek you. We ask that as we begin that you wash us clean Of all that is small, Of all that diminishes us.
