Prayer for Fortitude

O Great Creator of all that is,
We ask for strength to be gentle with your creation,
Strength to consume that which nourishes us,
Strength to understand the abundance of your universe,
Strength to ponder the mystery of your floods, earthquakes, and lightning,
Strength to experience rage at the human destruction of your coasts and forests,
Strength to direct our rage into constructive behavior,
Behavior aligning us, your wondrous creatures,
With your creation.
