O deep and loving God,
You are the center of our being,
And the light of our minds.

We seek a gentle disposition
Properly and humanly in awe of your divine presence--
Which will prepare us to know your beautiful and complex truth,
So that we may fully give you glory
With freedom and affection
That is truly human.

We thank you for making us your people.
We ask that we may use this your gift of time
And this your gift of this place
And this your special gift of each other
Gathered in your name–for our enlightenment
And your glory.
