Prayer for Healing and Consolation

 

O great Creator and Sustainer,

Maker of stars and planets,

Maker of bright and many-faceted light that comes to us

Through vast space that you have made.

Maker of flower, stone, and  bird.

 

We come before you to thank you

For this earth, filled with marvels,

To give you glory, which is your due, and

To tell in our own weak way,

How much we are in awe of your power.

 

We humbly ask that you bestow upon us your kiss of blessing,

The kiss of blessing that heals and consoles.

May your grace break our pride

To reach those inner chambers of our selves

Most in need of healing and consolation.
