Prayer For God’s Presence

O holy keeper of the vast cosmos,

Keeper of the galaxy and of the microbe, and

Close keeper of this, our body,

We, your sinful people, humbly come before you.

We seek to enter more deeply into your life.

 

The prayer we say here lies deep within our hearts.

 

Our prayer is that each breath make real your presence.

Each turn of our wonderful neck--

Each word uttered by our incredible mouth--

Each thought viewed and reviewed by our amazing brain—

 

Will sign our gratitude for this gift of consciousness, and

Give you true glory, and praise.
