Today’s Sun

After three days of rain

Now the sun rises,

Moving at its own majestic pace,

Moving with style,

Befriending, gracing soft clouds

Whose very existence it now glorifies.

This sun will mark this day.

Unique, it will burn its mysterious gases

Making this earth day rounded by hours.

This sun is a platform from which I and all earth

May view and ponder the vast universe

Whose very space, stretching outward beyond the galaxy’s edge,

Invites me and all earth wonder and joy.
