Today’s Sunrise

Arrayed in blue strands marked with bluer bands,

The sun rises, shifting each morning up or down

My little fenced horizon.

It rises and shifts at an angle determined by the entire working
Of distant and close celestial bodies and gears
Responding to the constant and dynamic cues of declension and right ascension

It rises without fanfare.

These blue strands marked with bluer bands will not last.

The rising sun’s own morning will consume them and transform them

In layers of hues and colors which will not survive the approach of noon.
