Lizard in Botanic Garden

How fitting.   A green anole lizard

Lives, thrives in a botanic garden.

Reptile in its civic forest,

Leaping upon daylily fronds,

Puffing its red throat

Whenever the Great Lizard Spirit prompts it.

Opening at will its fine lidded eyes,

Its green beaded body

Fitting my camera’s focus

Filling my morning with grace and beauty.
