Photographing the Moon

Every month the moon comes around,

Inviting me to take photographs of her face,

Inviting me to use the gift of light

To write a copy of her face upon my camera’s sensor, and

To write it next upon my computer screen, and

To write it next upon the Internet, and

To tell others next about the writing and

About her face.

When she comes around,

The moon does not keep still.

She changes her face,

Using, turning her round self

Teasing me to watch for her

The following night.
