Look Deeply, See Through Things

If we stop to look at things—really look,

We will soon see that they are transparent,

That their surface invites us to enter,

To examine the architecture of their inner cells,

How they are made up,

How they relate,

How they function.

Once we have penetrated the surface of things,

We will feel at home, welcomed,

Feel extended and expanded, and

We will be more disposed

To see the wonder and the beauty in things.

So we pick a subject, which will be an object.

Look at it.

Then look at it again.

Now we do begin to understand.
