Dragonfly
(Great Blue Skimmer (Libellula vibrans)
July 16, 2002

This dragonfly perched on a stake serving a daylily just as I started to photograph the daylily. To my great surprise and pleasure it allowed me to approach within a few feet.  It flew away after a minute or so, but then returned to the same spot, perching in a different position.  My camera (Olympus D-450) has 3x magnification.

Here is a short poem about the these photographs.
